Check-in is between 2.00 pm-5.30 pm. Late arrival may be arranged but we do request that you arrive with enough daylight so we can show you the facilities and settle you in comfortably. Check-out is 10am, unless by prior arrangement.
Please meet your hosts, Grant and Cathryn Kilby, at Hahei Beach Resort, 41 Harsant Ave, Hahei. They will take you to the glamping site which is a 5-minute drive from the Resort.
First Light Hahei glamping site is set high in privacy of the Hahei Hills overlooking Hahei (it is not on the beachfront). A 4WD vehicle is best so you can drive through a paddock to the glamping site with your luggage. Once you have parked up, you can walk to Hahei Village, approximately a 10-15 minute walk and it is another 5 minute walk to the beach from the shops.
Please bring all your food and beverages for your stay. Layers of warm clothes for coastal conditions and stargazing. Personal toiletries. Your favourite playlists and a good book!
We recommend you self-cater and bring your food with you. The outdoor terrace kitchen has a small fridge and salt ice cooler box fridge, a gas cooktop, and Weber BBQ. All the pots, pans, and utensils you'll need for cooking and eating are provided. A kettle and coffee plunger is supplied for tea, coffee, and milk on arrival.
Bottled water is provided for drinking. There is hot and cold running water at the tent site, however, it is not suitable for drinking and must be boiled for cooking.
There is a separate ensuite cabin with a shower, toilet, basin, and flushing toilet. Complimentary body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and luxury towels are provided. The bath is outdoors on the deck, perfectly positioned for stargazing and perfectly private.
First Light Hahei is fully off-grid with a solar system providing electricity on a battery system. We encourage you to embrace the off-grid experience and plan to use the power sparingly. The property has mobile and free WiFi reception with a battery bank available for your phones and devices.
For most of the year, there is a strict fire ban in place in Hahei so we cannot allow any open fires.
