The walk to Cathedral Cove is not affected by tide, so you can go there at any time. At very high tide, you may not be able to pass through the cave without getting your feet wet.

Excellent Location & Facilities
Go for the beachfront terrace if you are a self-contained camper. Excellent park facilities wise, but the view and location are second to none. Such a beautiful part of the world. Can highly recommend the pub for an evening meal and also the Cathedral Cove Sea Kayak tour for a morning activity.

Great setup and place to base yourself in the Coromandel!
My friend and I stayed in a basic cabin, which was great value for money! It provided comfortable beds and everything else we needed (mini fridge, plates, bowls, cutlery, electricity, linen). IT was also perfectly located to walk to Cathedral Cove and along the beach fronting the park, as well as to the local cafes and brewery (Pour House). Hot Water beach was a short drive and the resort provided shovels for a donation. The staff were lovely and helpful and the general vibe of the resort was great!
